Can’t say no to those dates for fattening of lunch, or those homemade cakes from your mother-in-law or the huge box of chocolates from your partner? The diet is difficult enough without high calorie foods pushed in your direction. How can stick to your resolve?
WebMD experts offer five simple strategies to help you stick to a healthy eating plan (even when you’re surrounded by friends not dieting and dear).
1. make a statement. It is up to dieter to make his feelings known. Ask directly to your loved ones not to give as gifts or food to eat. No matter how strong you are, you can’t be fattening foods in your face every day without your willpower.
2. Keep tempting to view. Even if your loved ones agree to eat their fattening goodies when you’re not around, ask them to keep it in a locker where normally you don’t go to your diet foods-you’ll be less tempted to eat it.
3. Learn the art of replacement. Give yourself a treat to taste through the preparation of a caloric less sweet that captures some of the essence of what your family members are devouring down. Be creative and will find that watching others eat the goodies will not be so difficult.
4. Share your health. Make foods that everyone craves healthier and calorie-conscious. Use nonfat yogurt in place of mayonnaise, use skimmed milk instead of whole milk, cheese lasagne with skinny. Creating a list calorie expenditure will also help. Choose chips baked instead of fried, popcorn instead of cheese doodles, diet soda instead of regular, you’ll help everyone.
5. Be reassuring. Even when they say that it looks fine the way you are, reassure your partner that weight loss goals are driven by vanity and health, do not lose those extra pounds that will help to ensure a better future for both. Explain the serious health risks overweight.
No-you’re not over-ambitious. You are human. Just don’t let those around you the best of you. Follow these five easy steps and you will not fall off the wagon of weight loss.
